Our Terms and Conditions

Article 1: Definitions and Applicability

1.1. These general terms and conditions apply to all rental agreements between Storagepark and tenants who use storage spaces or other storage services. In these terms and conditions, Storagepark is referred to as the ‘Lessor’ and the tenant as the ‘Customer’.

1.2. The rented storage space is referred to as the ‘Storage Unit’, while the rental agreement and these general terms and conditions together form the “Agreement”. All goods stored in the Storage Unit are referred to as the ‘Goods’.

 

Article 2: Use and Purpose

2.1. The Storage Unit may only be used for the storage of permitted goods. It is not permitted to use the space for other purposes.

2.2. The Customer is responsible for keeping the Storage Unit tidy and clean and must comply with all applicable environmental rules and regulations.

2.3. The Storage Unit may not be used for:

● Living or spending the night;

● Carrying out commercial activities;

● Storing dangerous, flammable or illegal goods;

● Storing animals, perishable goods or organic material.

 

Article 3: Rental Period and Termination

3.1. The rental agreement is entered into for a minimum period of one month and is automatically renewed for one month at a time, unless terminated in writing with a notice period of 15 days.

3.2. Upon termination of the Agreement, the Customer must return the Storage Unit empty and clean. Any goods left behind will be removed at the Customer's expense.

 

Article 4: Rental Price and Payment Terms

4.1. The rental price will be invoiced prior to the rental period and must be paid on time.

4.2. If payment is not made, Storagepark is entitled to block access to the Storage Unit until the outstanding amount has been paid.

4.3. If the Customer remains in default of payment for more than 30 days, Storagepark reserves the right to terminate the Agreement and to remove or auction the Goods to compensate for the outstanding claim.

 

Article 5: Access and Security

5.1. The Customer will receive a personal access code for the storage location. This code is strictly personal and may not be shared with third parties.

5.2. Storagepark reserves the right to enter the Storage Unit in exceptional circumstances, such as in the event of an emergency or at the request of the authorities.

 

Article 6: Liability and Insurance

6.1. The Customer is responsible for the contents of the Storage Unit and must take out their own insurance for the stored goods.

6.2. Storagepark is not liable for damage, loss or theft of stored goods, unless there is intent or gross negligence on the part of Storagepark.

Article 7: Other Provisions
7.1. Storagepark reserves the right to amend the general terms and conditions. Amended terms and conditions will be communicated at least 30 days prior to the effective date.
7.2. This Agreement is governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the district where the Storage Unit is located.

 

These general terms and conditions are intended to provide clarity and transparency to both Storagepark and the Customer. By using the services of Storagepark, the Customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
